Mindfully engaging for social justice transition
On April 5, 2024, UniLaSalle Beauvais organized a hybrid event as part of the Erasmus+ MP4s project, focused on the integration of mindfulness (M) in higher education. The event brought together educators, researchers, and professionals to discuss the pedagogical tools developed in this field, with a particular focus on the results of the MP4s project.
After a welcome coffee, a presentation of the project’s results was followed by a dynamic roundtable discussion on integrating mindfulness into higher education, moderated by experts such as Laurent Motte, Cathia Ziebel, Marion Flautre, Gabriel Attic, Emmanuel Faure, and Fatma Fourati-Jamoussi.
The hybrid event gathered 17 online participants, including 7 external to the consortium, as well as 5 in-person participants, 2 of whom were external. The discussion was structured around three key questions: the perception of mindfulness in society, the benefits of mindfulness for students, and recommendations for teachers looking to incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines.
The speakers shared their experiences and expertise, addressing various topics such as the impact of mindfulness on students’ well-being, existing pedagogical tools, and best practices for successful integration into academic curricula.
This event fostered enriching exchanges and provided participants with practical resources and recommendations for integrating mindfulness into higher education.
