Mindfully engaging societies and their public policies in social and climate transition
On October 15, 2024, the Multiplier Event MP4s was held at the Reitoria of NOVA University Lisbon, organized in a hybrid format with 13 online participants, including 5 external to the consortium, and 14 in-person participants, including 2 external. The event ran from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with the main goal of presenting the results of the MP4s project, with a particular focus on the MP4s e-learning kit, including PR3, PR4 “Sit4Planet Syllabus,” and its associated manuals (PR5-6), as well as PR7. These results were presented as a response to the growing need for climate change awareness and the integration of mental health into higher education.
The event explored key topics such as climate justice, art and sustainability, and leadership, all in connection with contemplative and mindfulness practices. The aim was to promote sustainable well-being and raise awareness among participants about the importance of mental health in education.
The event featured several interactive sessions, including presentations of the project’s results followed by a roundtable discussion. Afterward, practical workshops allowed participants to delve deeper into the mindfulness tools offered by the MP4s project. The event concluded with a Q&A session and a networking opportunity.
